A list with all eight elementary schools contact information can be found here.
Volunteers are encouraged to commit to one hour a week to tutor two students for a half hour each. If you would like to commit to more than two students or only can commit to one, we still need you. The TRC is currently exploring other ways that volunteers can donate their time.
An effort will be made to accommodate to each volunteer’s scheduling needs. We do ask volunteers to keep in mind that we are working within the boundaries of the student’s daily class schedule.
All volunteers will be asked to attend a training session for their assigned elementary school. Each session is about one hour with built-in time for questions. At the training session each volunteer will be able to check out materials for tutoring.
As the TRC continues to grow we will update you with other available resources on our website.
Every volunteer must have a background check before they can tutor children. Background checks will be performed at no cost to the volunteer. More information will be provided at your training session.
We are asking for school preference, if you have one, and we will keep this in mind when we assign you to a school. It is also possible to tutor at more than one school site.
Of course! The TRC is always looking for donations, whether it be in-kind or financial. If you would like to donate financially please click the "Donate Now" button on the home page. If you have an in-kind donation please email email@example.com.
